FAM PFP suction strainer is specifically designed for the suction side of pumps to protect them, especially the impellers, from foreign objects. In the process, the PFP suction strainer also acts as a pre-filter by performing coarse filtration.
PFP suction strainers are made from stainless steel, with standard materials being stainless steel AISI 304 and acid-resistant stainless steel AISI 316. The filter element is a basket, typically made of acid-resistant stainless steel AISI 316. The perforations in the basket have a diameter of ∅ 6 mm.
