BAND-IT® steel bands are designed especially for critical industrial applications with high mechanical loads. Typical applications include:

Steel banding is a strong fastening strap made from high-quality stainless steel (AISI 201) or acid-resistant stainless steel (AISI 316). It is used for permanent and secure fastening of pipes, cables, hoses and other heavy industrial equipment. Steel banding offers significantly higher durability and service life compared to traditional plastic cable ties.

Steel bands are widely used in industrial infrastructure, such as the chemical industry, energy plants, process industry pipeline design, marine industry and HVAC installations. It ensures reliable and long-lasting fastening in environments with corrosion, UV radiation, chemicals or major temperature variations.

The installation method depends on the selected band type. Acid-resistant perforated banding can be easily installed with screw fastening. Traditional smooth steel bands require a separate lock and tightening tool to ensure a strong fastening. For the best installation result and even tension, we always recommend using original BAND-IT® installation tools.

As a rule, steel bands cannot be reused. They are designed for permanent fastening applications where extreme safety is required. Once the band has been locked in place, it is removed by cutting the band, after which a new band and lock are installed.
