Diaphragm pumps offer low maintenance requirements, which is one of their greatest advantages in industrial applications. Their design focuses on durability and reliability, minimizing the need for regular maintenance. Dellmeco diaphragm pumps are made of high-quality materials that can withstand high pressures and aggressive chemicals without the need for frequent replacement or repair of pump parts.
In addition, the diaphragm pump has a simple design, which reduces the possibility of failures and facilitates possible repairs when they are needed. Diaphragm pumps therefore have low operating costs in the long term, which also makes them an economically attractive option for many industries.
Diaphragm pumps can be safely used in potentially explosive areas, as the diaphragm pump is designed to meet ATEX standards. Diaphragm pumps are equipped with materials that prevent sparking and other explosion-causing risk factors. For example, electrically conductive PE and PTFE materials are common in diaphragm pumps placed in ATEX-classified areas.
To ensure safety, it is important to choose the right components and strictly follow the instructions of the ATEX directive during installation and use, which guarantees safe operation even in demanding conditions.
A diaphragm pump is a pumping solution whose operation is based on the reciprocating movement of a flexible diaphragm. The diaphragm moves liquids or powders with the help of suction and discharge valves without the liquid coming into contact with the moving parts that drive the diaphragm. This feature makes diaphragm pumps highly resistant to wear and long-lasting even in demanding operating conditions.
Diaphragm pumps can operate either mechanically with the help of an electric motor or pneumatically using compressed air, which increases their flexibility and suitability for different systems. Diaphragm pumps powered by an electric motor are well suited for continuous operation, while pneumatic models provide a fast and reliable solution, for example in temporary or explosive environments.
Thanks to the design of an air-operated diaphragm pump, it is suitable for transferring sensitive materials such as powders, oils, solvents, and chemical compounds. In addition, the structure of the diaphragm pump prevents evaporation and leakage of substances, making it, with appropriate accessories, a particularly safe option for handling environmentally harmful or toxic liquids.
Due to its versatility, a diaphragm pump is an efficient solution for many industries. It is suitable for both precise dosing of small quantities and the transfer of large flow volumes. In addition, its ability to handle liquids containing solids without the risk of clogging is a valued feature in industrial processes and wastewater treatment.
The BPI-Chempump diaphragm pump offers users reliability, low maintenance requirements, and cost efficiency, making it an excellent choice for demanding industrial applications.
The Dellmeco diaphragm pumps we supply offer several advantages:
Durability: High-quality materials, such as stainless steel and chemical-resistant components, ensure a long service life.
Easy maintenance: The simple structure of a diaphragm pump reduces maintenance needs and lowers operating costs.
Versatility: Suitable for transferring different substances, whether liquid, powder, or abrasive material.
The BPI-Chempump product range includes solutions for the needs of different industries. Diaphragm pumps also perform exceptionally well in hazardous (ATEX) environments, which highlights their safety and reliability in demanding conditions. Air-operated diaphragm pumps are available from us even in ATEX category 0.
Thanks to their versatility, diaphragm pumps are a popular solution in many industries. Typical applications include:
Chemical industry: Pumping viscous and corrosive substances.
Water treatment: Transfer of sludge and liquids containing solid particles.
Food production: Hygienic and precise pumping solutions for liquid handling.
Different material options ensure nearly unlimited possibilities for using these pumps. A diaphragm pump is particularly well suited for pumping viscous, abrasive, and corrosive substances. The pump also handles solids well. In some pump models, a flap valve can be installed, allowing the size of solid particles to be quite large. Thanks to its gentle pumping motion, the pump is also suitable for shear-sensitive materials. A diaphragm pump can be equipped with various accessories, which further expands its range of applications.
The simple structure keeps maintenance costs low. A diaphragm pump is very easy to service, helping to avoid long pumping interruptions.

A Dellmeco diaphragm pump operates using compressed air or, if required, with an electric motor. An air-operated pump does not require lubrication, so the compressed air must be clean and dry to ensure flawless pump operation. The output of an air-operated pump is adjusted by regulating the air pressure. A diaphragm pump starts with very low pressure and the maximum pressure is 8 bar. Output adjustment is therefore very simple and the adjustment range is wide. With additional equipment, output control can also be automated. Diaphragm pumps are also available in electrically driven versions.
A diaphragm pump can run dry without causing damage. If the valve on the pressure side is closed, the pump stops and starts operating again when the valve is opened.
A diaphragm pump is self-priming up to 8 meters, so the installation location is not as critical as with some other pump types. The pump can also be submerged in the liquid being pumped, but in this case the suitability of the materials and the removal of compressed air must be taken into account.
A diaphragm pump is an efficient, reliable, and versatile option for liquid transfer needs. High-quality diaphragm pumps provide an excellent solution for pumping chemicals, viscous liquids, and even abrasive substances. Their carefully designed structure ensures high performance and durability in all operating conditions. By choosing a diaphragm pump, you invest in a long-lasting, energy-efficient, and easy-to-use solution that minimizes production downtime and maintenance costs.
Dellmeco diaphragm pumps are manufactured in Europe, ensuring high quality and fast delivery times. The pump bodies made from plastic materials are machined, which makes the pump structure durable and maintenance-free. Metal pump bodies are cast, which reduces vibration and makes the pump more reliable with fewer components.
Dellmeco diaphragm pumps are a cost-effective choice, as their simple design and long service life reduce maintenance requirements. In addition, diaphragm pumps can be equipped with various accessories, such as a drum kit or double diaphragms, to provide extra safety in demanding applications.
Dellmeco diaphragm pumps with plastic bodies are manufactured by machining plastic blocks, which results in relatively thick pump housings. For this reason, Dellmeco diaphragm pumps are very rigid in structure. When the housing parts are machined from plastic materials, the result is a diaphragm pump with a very simple structural design. This benefits the user by reducing the need for spare parts and partly speeding up pump maintenance.
In Dellmeco’s metal versions, the metal pump bodies are mainly manufactured by casting. Casting helps dampen vibrations, and it also allows the diaphragm pump “pocket,” or pump chamber walls, to be manufactured as a single component. As a result, the diaphragm pump requires fewer parts, making it more reliable.
The thick material construction used in Dellmeco diaphragm pumps stabilizes the pump during operation. Dellmeco pumps also include vibration-damping feet as standard, which act as the pump’s “legs.” The material thickness also improves wear resistance, for example when pumping liquids containing solids, ensuring that the pump chamber walls do not wear through quickly. As a result, Dellmeco diaphragm pumps generally have a very long service life.
Dellmeco diaphragm pumps are reliable, easy to adjust, and safe. Dellmeco pumps are suitable for applications such as SIP and CIP systems, cleanrooms, and ATEX environments. These diaphragm pumps are also robust and structurally simple, which means they contain very few parts. During their lifecycle, diaphragm pumps typically require only a small number of spare parts in normal intermittent use, making them a fairly cost-effective option.
Dellmeco diaphragm pumps are also manufactured using a long-established technology that has been thoroughly tested and proven to be reliable.
