The Norma® Flex/Flex E clamp connector is a non-tensile-resistant pipe connector. This means that forces acting on the pipeline cannot be directed to this pipe connector. The connector is suitable for all types of pipe materials, such as plastic, cast iron and steel pipes.
This clamp connector compensates for thermal expansion in the pipeline. It also saves working time, as installation is very quick. The pipe connector is also easy to install, as no special tools are needed.
The clamp connector is available with different material options, both for the body material and the seal material. The materials are affected by the process media, temperatures and application. The material options for these clamp connectors are W2, W4 and W5. The seal material is either EPDM, NBR or FKM. The pressure rating of the pipe connector depends on the application and is up to 70 bar. Temperatures can range from -30 °C to +150 °C, and even higher in special cases.
