Oetiker PG 101 is made from galvanized steel. The clamps are manufactured from tubing, meaning there are no weakened points. This makes them highly suitable for low-pressure hoses.
These 2-ear clamps allow almost twice the clamping range compared to 1-ear clamps. The 2-ear clamps add flexibility to compensate for changes in the connected parts, which may be caused by thermal expansion or vibration, for example.
The installation techniques are similar to 1-ear clamps, but the force used to close the second ear may affect the opposite ear that has already been closed, making a second crimping cycle necessary. To ensure a complete seal, the ears must be closed tightly enough during installation.
