Caprari’s CVD pump model is a vertical multistage pressure booster pump. If needed, the CVD can also be installed horizontally, but this requires a pair of support feet under the pump body. These can be supplied with the pump on request.
This pump model is designed for applications where clean water needs to be pumped. The pump has a multistage design, meaning that several impellers are installed in series in the direction of flow. This allows the pump to achieve high heads, making it an excellent choice for pressure boosting.
Pressure booster pumps like this are often used to increase water pressure in built environments on a regional level. They can also be needed within individual buildings to ensure sufficient water pressure, for example to the upper floors of apartment buildings. More specific applications include snowmaking systems and car wash machines.
Caprari’s CVD model is very practical, as maintenance has been taken into account in its design. The mechanical shaft seal is a cartridge-type seal, which can be replaced without removing the motor from the pump. The motor is also maintenance-friendly, as it is a standard IEC electric motor. This makes finding a replacement motor easy and cost-effective if needed.
