GVR BMF and BCF series gear pumps are monoblock pumps designed especially for transferring lubricating and viscous liquids. Made from acid-resistant stainless steel or alternatively cast iron, they provide a robust and highly compact solution for industrial needs where space is limited.
Operating Limits
The pumps are self-priming and highly suitable for clean liquids that do not contain solids or abrasive impurities. The unit is supplied as standard with an integrated brass safety valve. It protects the pump from short-term overpressure and enables steady, pulsation-free flow in demanding industrial conditions.
BMF and BCF gear pumps provide a reliable solution for handling viscous liquids, with a viscosity range of 1-1,000 cSt. The pumps operate with helical gears, which ensure an exceptionally low noise level and reduce pressure pulsation compared to straight-tooth models.
The monoblock structure uses an integrated IM B34 electric motor, with the shaft extending directly into the pump casing. This removes the need for a separate coupling and makes the structure highly durable and space-saving.
Nominal flow at different speeds:
The standard pump material is a cast iron casing with carbon steel gears and shaft. Sealing is handled with a ceramic-graphite-Viton mechanical shaft seal and Viton O-rings.
All motors have IP55 protection, insulation class F, but they can also be supplied with IP56 or IP65 protection or special voltages. For aggressive liquids and corrosive environments, special materials such as bronze or acid-resistant stainless steel are available.
Performance table by pressure and power:
The standard version rotates counterclockwise when viewed from the motor fan side. Before the first start-up, it is recommended to fill the pump with a small amount of oil to improve suction performance and protect the mechanical seal.
The integrated brass safety valve can be adjusted according to the process. Please note that the safety valve is intended only for short-term protection. If the system requires continuous bypass flow, a separate bypass valve must be installed in the return line to the tank.
Dimensional drawing and weights:
A gear pump is a self-priming positive displacement pump developed for accurate transfer of viscous and lubricating liquids.
It is self-priming and can transfer viscous liquids with steady, pulsation-free flow.
BMF uses three-phase power, while BCF is intended for a single-phase electrical network.
Yes. Pre-filling with a small amount of oil improves suction performance and protects the pump’s mechanical parts from wear during the first start-up.
The gear pump is best suited for clean oils, fuels and other viscous liquids that do not contain abrasive solids.
Yes. The unit can be equipped with an integrated frequency converter or connected as part of a wider automation system to control the flow rate.
